Homework

1.Are feelings, emotions and facial expressions universal across borders, happy, sad, etc..?

I think emotions and facial expressions are same things. Many people who live all over the the world have same emotions.

2. Try to name as many feelings as possible in Japanese. ( 10 minimum) Then, write the English translation.
幸せ hapy        悲しい sad
嬉しい glad 楽しい fun
疲れた tired ドキドキする beat 
興奮する excite 羨ましい enviable
怒る angry  緊張する tense
3. Are there any feelings in Japanese that cannot be translated into English?
I think Japanese vogue-word, "Mukatuku" is difficult to translated into English.

  1. I think traditional words are more difficult to translate.
    "Mukatuku" is just similar state of "frustrated," "annoyed," or "irritated," I think.

  2. I agree with Sen. At first sight, I thought word of "Mukatsuku" is a little difficult to translate. So, Japanese is so difficult.

    yes,I think feelings are almost things common to people from all over the world.
    But they express their feeling in a different level.
